Cantina Saputi,
Family of winemakers since 1962
Colmurano, Macerata
"Il Ribona da sempre”
Cantina Saputi is situated in Colmurano, in the heart of the region of Le Marche, a
a few kilometers away from both the Adriatic Sea and the Sibillini Mountains. In the first half of the twentieth century the founder, Angelo Saputi, created one of the first vineyards in the region that produced wines of great character.
The Cantina is a family-run business managed by Alvaro Saputi and his two sons: Leonardo, a specialized viticulturist and Andrea, the sales manager. Attention to the vineyards, the land and the love for their children have pushed the Saputi family towards organic cultivation, without pesticides and chemical products; in 2016 all conventional crops were converted to BIO, so most of the products are “certified organic”.
Today Cantina Saputi can count more than 24 hectares of vineyards, 13 labels and an annual volume of about 120 thousand bottles. Among them, the indigenous “Ribona” has always been an excellent protagonist, with a mission
to increase the popularity of the Doc Colli Maceratesi Ribona across Italy and beyond.
Since 2005, we’ve been hosting public events throughout the summer months in Villa Le Vigne, in Loro Piceno. The venue has been a stage, where modern cuisine and traditional dishes are united with our array of wines to generate a truly unique experience, surrounded by well-preserved vineyards in the Italian countryside.
