OLEOSOPHIA is the result of a love story, when two young people – George and Marianna - met, discussed ideas under the olive trees and shared a passion for extra virgin olive oil, bringing two families together. Since then, OLEOSOPHIA travels the world, introducing the authentic and local variety of Manaki extra virgin olive oil to olive oil friends.
In the area of Mt. Fokas, near Corinth, the Manginas family cultivates the rare and unique variety of Manaki olives – a variety known for its soft and smooth profile, with rich aroma, discreet bitterness and a medium pungency while it is a variety that is not cultivated elsewhere in the world. Having an experience of more than 3 generations and combining the family traditions with science and innovation, the family applies best practices to ensure high quality extra virgin olive oil, collecting the olives by hand, pressing them within a few hours and harvesting early in October.
The family collaborates with fine food shops and delicatessens in Europe, Australia and USA, supplying its partners with the Manaki extra virgin olive oil and supporting them with education workshops and sessions. OLEOSOPHIA has been awarded with the Health Claim certification and Olympia 2020 Award for its phenolic content as well as a GREAT TASTE 2020 Award.
The OLEOSOPHIA olive grove is open to visitors and olive oil lovers to explore the magic of the olive trees, connect with nature and experience a unique olive oil tasting session with the family’s Olive Oil Sommelier.
