At some point in my life I had to make a choice, stay a city girl or take care of the place in my heart, my family’s winery and olive farm.
I had no doubts and in the early 2000s I moved to live here in Caiazzo a few kilometers from the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta, in the uncontaminated area of the Caiatine Hills where the PALLAGRELLO, the noble autochthonous grape has been preserved for centuries.
To honor the vocation of these hills rich in biodiversity, I introduced it to my vineyard in 2004, following this choice, the awareness of the great responsibility that farmers have deciding to practice ethical and sustainable agriculture, which is not harmful to the environment and which interferes as little as possible with the natural biodiversity, I have made a strong commitment to these decisions.
From the vineyard grown in a non-intensive way and minimal impact come the grapes that I than transform following a strictly natural winemaking process without any use of oenological adjuvants. My best ally to make strong wines with identities… is time. Alongside the pallagrello, other grapes continue to grow in the historic vineyard such as Falanghina, Greco and Cabernet Sauvignon.
