Created in 1947 by François and Claudine BERNILLON, the farm was originally a small
farm with some animals in addition to the vine. In 1973, the Estate was taken over by the son
Alain BERNILLON and his wife Bernadette, animal husbandry is stopped in order to develop
fully working in the vineyard. New markets are developed Belgium, Restaurant
Parisian, individuals throughout France.
In 2015, their daughter Mariannick and her husband Guillaume DUMONTET took over the Estate.
A new dynamic is given in order to develop digital technology and conquer the
American market. The range of wine is extensive.
The Estate, located in St Lager, covers 8 hectares. We mainly produce
Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly and recently Beaujolais Villages Rouge and Rosé.
We work in a family setting and manage the entire process of working in the vineyard
until commercialization. We market 80% of our production for sale
direct.
We have obtained HVE3 certification and are in the process of organic conversion. We
work our vines manually: pruning in a goblet by hand, manual harvesting,
attachment of the vine, ... The vinification is done entirely in our cellars.
