We are Camille and Benjamin, twins from Saint Pée sur Nivelle in the northern Basque Country. We won't really surprise you by telling you that we have been passionate about rugby and pelota since our childhood, that we are very attached to our group of friends and that we spend too many evenings surveying the cider houses located in Hegoalde. Not to mention Koblakariak, our group of traditional songs founded among friends with whom we go on tour regularly.
In 2014, we decided to manufacture and market one of the first Patxaran produced in Iparralde (northern Basque Country). Being very attached to our origins and our culture, working with a product from the Basque region seemed obvious.
Until then we made our artisanal Patxaran at home, having fun adding our personal touch.
EGIAZKI was founded in 2014 but it took over a year to find the perfect recipe. We planted 3ha of blackthorn trees on the heights of our village and in December 2015 the patxaran EGIAZKI was marketed for the first time. We have thus become the biggest artisanal producer in Iparralde.
Very quickly we decided to become specialists in Basque liqueurs. For this, we have expanded our range by producing Manzana, Patxaka, Jinkoa and Menta today. Ideas are flowing and we do not intend to stop there, we want to offer you a whole range of liqueurs and eaux de vies! "
